Vancouver Physiotherapy Hub offers Telehealth physiotherapy – a virtual physical therapy treatment option available specifically through a secure, online platform. Now, you have the option to connect with our physiotherapists anywhere, any time, to get the treatment that you need! Because if the last year has taught us anything, it is that much of what we need should be accessible to everyone, no matter the physical barriers. Your access to high-quality, effective and safe physiotherapy should be no different.

The idea of online physical therapy can seem confusing because there is no hands-on component. But you can expect to receive the same high-quality, attentive and safe physiotherapy care in a virtual setting as you would from an in-person treatment. That’s because physical therapy is not just about manual therapy; it’s about using physical movements to treat chronic and acute conditions.

In fact, a new study done in British Columbia found that 79% of patients who participated in virtual care said that the quality of care was the exact same. As well, over 90% of people were content with their visit because it solved a health issue that needed to be dealt with, but they couldn’t receive in-person treatments.

At Vancouver Physiotherapy Hub, we know that especially right now, getting access to the treatments you need can be challenging. That is why we offer Telehealth services with our physiotherapists, so that you can get access to the same high quality and effective treatments that you need, from wherever you are.

How Your Virtual Physiotherapy Session Works:

In order to book your appointment, please consult your schedule and find a time that works with any one of our physiotherapists. Once you have decided on your appointment, you can book online or give our reception a call at 778-727-0810. From there, you will be sent an online intake form, which we ask you to fill out at least 24 hours before your appointment.

Our virtual physiotherapy sessions take place through our secure, online Teleconference software and a link will be forwarded to you prior to your appointment.

Once you meet with one of our physiotherapists, he or she will perform a detailed assessment, including health history and an intake of your chief concerns and complaints. They will also run you through a series of range-of-motion and movement tests to diagnose your issue, and assess your posture and biomechanics in relation to your condition

Our physical therapists will provide treatment, walking you through a series of exercises to help you. Our therapists will also guide you on how to manage and alleviate your symptoms, and give you strategies to help prevent future recurrence of your pain or issue. Lastly, we will give you a treatment plan, which includes stretching, strengthening and homecare-based activities to target your chief complaints.

Can I still book for an in-person treatment at your clinic?

Yes! All of our physiotherapists are also providing in-person treatments at our clinic. Our practitioners and staff ensure that the necessary protocols are in place to keep our clinic as safe as possible for our clients and is in accordance with BC’s Health Guidelines.

Another option is to incorporate a mix of virtual and in-person treatments to see our physiotherapists. Many of our clients choose this option, because it gives them flexibility in their treatment plans.

I was dealing with a rare condition causing some facial paralysis. Christina Wong is so helpful and caring about her patients. She helped me understand the road to recovery, massage techniques and ways to activate my facial nerves and facial muscles and what to expect with the symptoms I felt as I healed. My condition made me anxious and I found that few people in medicine understand it fully. Thankfully I talked with Christina who specializes in facial muscular nerve retraining so I could relax and allow myself to heal without stress. God bless her.
